Getting the Most from the GEM Standard

Mr. Rubow is not only the Director of Solutions Engineering at Cimetrix, but he is the SEMI NA Information & Control Committee Co-Chair and the SEMI NA GEM 300 Task Force co-Leader. In this position, he has become a GEM (SECS/GEM) expert and spoke at SEMICON West about how to the the most from the GEM Standard. 

The purpose of this presentation is to discuss GEM background and characteristics as well as recent improvements to the standard. Mr. Rubow also discusses some common pitfalls when implementing GEM as well as implementation tips and some do's and don'ts for factories. Finally he finishes with some discussion on future enhancements for GEM that are in the works.
